OUR STORY

LelleRose

Eleanor Rose Robinson was born in Suffolk, UK 1992.
She started her early education in Woodbridge School before re-locating to a French Chateau for her formative years.
From an early age art was highly influential, her great grandfather Edgar Graham a skilled artist, member of the Bloomsbury group and John Ruskin's art curator at Brantwood house in Coniston.

Which made it a rather avant garde upbringing.

By the age of five she was heading off into the fields in order to draw her ponies en plein air.

Once re-located to the Charente, France she went everywhere with sketch book and easel. Long, warm days and golden light were perfect conditions to draw the horses and animals surrounding her.
Developing a style of her own, bordering on impressionism whilst maintaining a likeness but softness of flowing paint.
Learning to capture an essence quickly to be able to jot down even the passing mouse.

On the family Yacht in the Caribbean an encounter with Lolita Valderrama Savage, international Florence based impressionist artist inspired her love of Oil paints and brighter colours. Lolita remains a family friend and huge inspiration on Eleanor's work.

Another re-location to New Zealand led to her formal training and Fine Arts Degree. Majoring most of her work on impressionistic portraiture and illustration work.

Now located back in the UK for most of the year with her horses, dogs and house rabbit.
